It was later revealed that in addition to "dreaming time" from THRIVE, MooNs & Kitakore would also be releasing singles on November 25, 2015, "Glory Upper" and "Koiseyo Otome ( 恋セヨ乙女)" respectively. The first single for the series, "Eikyuu Paradise ( 永久パラダイス)", was released digitally on September 11, 2015, alongside a promo video for the series and a teaser of a new single, "dreaming time", from THRIVE. When the project first began the units were: Kitakore ( キタコレ), THRIVE and MooNs, but on December 4, 2015, a fourth group known as KiLLER KiNG was added. As of January 2018 the project features an anime series, a manga adaptation, a rhythm game, a stage play, multiple music CDs, and a range of related merchandise.ī-PROJECT follows four (initially three) Japanese idol groups that perform both as separate units and as a whole group. The project was first announced via Twitter on August 9, 2015, with the first production presentation and song previews being released on September 4, 2015, via nico live. about a group of virtual idols that began in 2015. Characters that give off a similar vibe? Whether it's Ai and Aizome's similar name and design, Ranmaru and Goushi's similar view on things, Hikaru and Reiji who, as I said, share a voice actor and personality or just a common name like Mikado.B-PROJECT~Kodō*Ambitious~ Promotional Posterī-PROJECT is a Japanese cross-media project by MAGES. Also some voice actors in common: Ono Daisuke (Kira and Kitakado), Morikubo Showtaro (Reiji and Hikaru, also note how they have a similar personality too) and Toriumi Kousuke (Cecil and Sakutaro). The character designs from UtaPri are by Kurahana Chinatsu) Same mangaka (at least, B-Pro's character designer, Utako Yukihiro, drew the UtaPri manga. I've seen that La Corda D'oro is currently the number one recommendation for UtaPri and honestly, I think it should be B-Pro. ).Įven though I think UtaPri is generally more likable, I think you should definitly give B-pro a shot if you're looking for something similar. showing how a song gets recorded, the characters doing their first live, recording a commercial. Then again, B-Pro seems to focus more on the aspect of being an idol (f.e. And there wasn't usage of (sorry to use this word) shitty CG (at least in the first seasons). The amount of romance in UtaPri is significantly higher, too. In B-Pro's case, their actions, personalities and conversations sometimes even gave me this 'Dèja-vu' feeling. I don't know if it's because, back when I watched UtaPri, I saw a smaller amount of shows, or if it's something other people can agree on too, but the characters felt less predictable. B-Pro is more slice-of-life orientated and takes an easier approach on that.īoth series take a lot of mainstream 'reverse harem' tropes, putting down a cast with very stereotypical characters. UtaPri also seems to have more of a 'main storyline' as we have Nanami's school life and her love Hayate. However, whereas UtaPri takes a slower approach to introduce the characters, B-Pro just sort of slams all of them in your face during the first minutes of episode one. Every episode will focus on one specific character. ![]() The topping is the way the characters are introduced, portrayed and how the story is filled. She sort of manages the groups in her own way and it's up for debate whether she's likable or not. So the main similarity is that both series are about male idols, with a female main character as main. Imagine both of them are the same type of cake, but with different toppings. Let's say these stories share a same core. So B-Pro and UtaPri are pretty much the same, but at the same time they aren't. And I hope by the time you're reading this recommendation, it's already the most recommended series. ![]() I mean, B-pro's character designer, drew the UtaPri manga and they share some voice actors. Out of all series, I highly doubt you will find something as similar to UtaPri as B-Project.
